[[Resource Description Framework]] and [[Resource Description Framework Schema|RDF-S]] use XML syntax to define ways of writing [[metadata]] to describe web resources. [[OWL]], the ontology vocabulary, builds on top of RDF to create additional vocabulary for describing classes and relationships.
